Les Vins Pirouettes is a project started by Christian Binner. Working with a selection of organic and biodynamic growers their aim is to bring affordable 'natural' wines to the people!
Each cuvée is made at the young vigneron's winery that supplied the grapes and Christian lends a hand, offering advice and guidance. Each cuvée features the Pirouettes name and the grower's name.
This Klevener of Heiligenstein is made from organic Savagnin Rose, a rare, pink-skinned grape grown mostly in Alsace. As the grapes are macerated pre-fermentation, the colour of the finished wine has a distinctive pinkish hue. Heiligenstein is known for its Limestone, Granite, and Siliceous clay soils. The wine is aged in oak barrels on lees for 13 months.
