Rosa and Jose still live in the original Adega (old cellar) and live a very simple life according to the traditions of Ribeira Sacra.  They keep pigs, chickens, and grow vegetables as well as tending to their vineyards in an effort to maintain the original ecosystem.

They use no additives in any facet of their farming, keeping everything as natural as possible.  They grow indigenous grapes such as Mencia, Merenzao, Bracellao, Jerez and Godello.  Sadly due to the tiny production, and them selling out each year, we have only been able to receive a small allocation of their Tradición Mencia—which we are very thankful for!

The 3.5ha of vineyards are old granite and slate soil, terraced vineyards that overlook the River Sil. The terraces are surrounded by cherry blossoms and wild flowers, keeping their passion to maintain the naturel ecosystem wherever possible.
