Paul-Henri and Charles Thillardon are a new addition to our list. The Thillardon boys grew up in South Beaujolais alongside Raphael Saint-Cyr and share with Domaine Saint-Cyr the Les Blémonts vineyard. Chénas has a reputation for being one of firmer stricter styles but their vinification style produces very elegant, fine and precise styles.
Chassignol is without doubt one of the truly brilliant single site expressions in Beaujolais, it is a vineyard behind their cellar in which the two horses that work it also live. It always has an aroma of roses reminiscent of some very fine vineyards further North in the Côte de Nuits.
