A Deconhecida is Rodrigo?s keg project, created especially for Uncharted.
Farming and Winemaking
Rodrigo farms 5 hectares of vineyards in the Obidos and Alcobaca in Western Portugal, close to the Atlantic ocean North of Lisbon. Currently undergoing conversion to organic certification and focusing on growing local varieties ? Arinto for his whites and Castelao for his reds ? both historically considered blending grapes. Rodrigo allows them to shine on limestone soils with low yields. The Arinto is fermented in stainless steel with native yeast and with 50% kept as whole bunches. 5 days skin contact for added texture.
