Biodynamic Wagram Gruner is never this good value; Hans used to bottle this in 1L bottles as a table wine for the local market but now puts it all into keg for us. Unfiltered, and all the better for it.

Producer

Three generations of the Wimmer family and three generations of the Czerny family have come together to farm 15 hectares of biodynamic vines and 12 hectares of organic farming (including some amazing Mangaliza pigs). They are based in Fels, which is in the Eastern part of Austria (70km west of Vienna). Fels is part of the Wagram wine region, which sits near the Danube River.

Farming and Winemaking

Gruner Veltliner is the white variety most often planted and a variety from which Wimmer-Czerny make several cuv??es. Hauswein is exactly that, their perfect example of variety. With fermentation and elevage in stainless steel, you get the amazing aromatic nose that Gruner Veltliner is famous for. Soft, spicy, waxy Gruner Veltliner.
