A softer, more approachable Aglianico?earthy and brambly, with lots of Southern ripeness but with softer tannins than your typical Aglianico. 

Producer

The Federiciane Monteleone winery is located in the Campi Flegrei, a large volcanic cauldron. The history of this sleeping colossus includes two massive eruptions, 39,000 and 15,000 years ago. Their specialism is Gragnano (a sparkling red wine that is the perfect accompaniment to Pizza). But they also produce still table wines with the Aglianico and Falanghina grapes. They have been producing wines for over 100 years and these wines are a true reflection of Campanian heritage.

Farming and Winemaking

Farmed on the fertile volcanic soils this is classic Aglianico. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tank, retaining the primary fruit character.
