The Vinexplor? range has been sourced by Uncharted Wines to offer the best quality at the fairest prices for your kegs.  For this classic Cotes de Gascogne we've looked to Maison Fontan, a brother and sister partnership from a family who have worked the vineyards in the heart of Gascony since 1907.

Grapes are grown on clay, silt and limestone soils, which lie 200m above sea level, and where Jurassic era fossils are often found. Harvest starts with the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, then Colombard.  Next comes the flagship grape of Gascogne, Ugni Blanc, and last is the Gros Manseng.  Each variety is vinified separately with an 8-12 hour skin contact maceration, followed by a light pressing before fermentation.
